Happy 2nd Birthday Nicholas Aiden!!!!

Nicholas Aiden turned 2 years old on February 6th and I can’t believe my little boy is growing up so fast!

For his birthday we were going to take him to the zoo, go out to lunch then have family and friends over for cake and ice cream.  But the day didn’t go as planned.  The morning of his birthday it was pouring!!!!  And it was supposed to rain all day so we didn’t get to go to the zoo 😦

Instead I went out and got some ballons to bring home to him.  And I went out to get all the ice cream and toppings for our ice cream buffet.  Since we didn’t know when this baby was going to come out we decided to keep his birthday low key.

We had some lunch then he took his nap.  While  he was taking his nap my cousin came over and dropped off his cupcake cake that I asked her to make.

When Nick woke up we had dinner then everyone started coming over for cake and ice cream!  First we sang Happy Birthday to Nick and he blew out his candles.

We had to sing to him about 10 times because he kept wanting to blow out his candles over and over again!  Every time he would blow it out he would say “Daddy again please” and of course Dustin can’t say no to his baby boy 🙂  After we had an ice cream buffet with 4 different ice cream flavors along with chocolate and caramel sauce, whipped  cream, bananas, cherries and sprinkles.  I also bought some waffle bowls and cones for everyone.  Of course I forgot to take a picture 😦  Hopefully my Mom got a picture though.

When everyone was done eating their desserts Nick wanted to open his presents.  I love the way he opens them because he looks so serious and always makes this face that makes me laugh.  Also when he opens a present he won’t want to open anymore because he’ll want to play or try on what he got.  He’s such a funny boy!

My son also has a thing with shoes!  I think he may have more shoes thenI do!  He takes after his Daddy 😉  He loves to wear different shoes all the time and he was so happy when he got his Lightning McQueen shoes from Auntie Jackie.  Of course he had to try them and and show everyone.

Overall we all had a great day and I can’t believe my little man is 2 years old!  I can’t wait to see what this next year has in store for us and how much more he will grow 😀
